Slovenian NMR centre at National Institute of Chemistry, Ljubljana, Slovenia

The Slovenian NMR centre is a facility that offers expertise and access to users studying relationships between structure, sequence and recognition of biomolecules and their dynamics in order to gain deeper insights into the biological functions, chemical structures and interactions. Research activities and methods focus on structural studies of biological macromolecules in solution state, understanding of the molecular basis of diseases, structure characterization and interaction of novel biologically active compounds with protein targets and design of active compounds. Last several years, we focused on guanine-rich DNA and RNA sequences that can form non-canonical structures, such as G-quadruplexes and i-motifs.
