Prof. Dr. Clemens Glaubitz
Research in the Glaubitz Lab is dedicated to structure/function/mechanism of membrane proteins involved on signal transduction, transport and lipid/membrane modulations. The group is also interested in factors which affect membrane dynamics, order and polymorphism and lipid-protein interactions. The technical approach is centered around solid-state NMR, which enables working directly within membranes, and is complemented by many additional biochemical and biophysical techniques. Our work involves both high-field MAS-NMR as well as dynamic nuclear polarization, which pushes sensitivity by orders of magnitude. In context of SARS COV-2, the group is interested in the role of
viral membrane proteins.
